Our Philosophy is Quite Simple
We never make decisions based on what fits “in the box” – Instead, we take a holistic approach to each opportunity, set a baseline of underwriting standards, and pursue strategies grounded in how we want to invest our own capital.
Prior to Prescriptive Capital Partners, Amanda served as the Executive Vice President, Asset Management for Healthcare Trust of America, Inc. (NYSE: HTA), the largest owner of medical buildings in the country prior to its sale in July 2022.
At HTA she was was responsible for creating and managing the company's in-house asset management platform, with assets comprising approximately 26 million square feet spread across 470 buildings and totaling $7.8 billion in invested value.
While with HTA, Ms. Houghton was one of four named executives to participate in the public roadshow and listing on the NYSE in June 2012. Ms. Houghton also was part of the transition team that led the integration of HTA with HR, culminating in a $17.6 billion merger of the two companies in July 2022.
Ms. Houghton received a B.B.A degree in Finance and a B.A. degree in Public Policy from Southern Methodist University, as well as a degree in Biblical Studies from Phoenix Seminary. Ms. Houghton also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
Chris has spent his entire career focused on alternative real estate assets, including leading the largest healthcare and life sciences real estate investment advisory practice at CBRE, a Fortune 150 company.
At the time, Chris was the youngest investment advisor to be appointed to Vice Chairman in CBRE’s history and one of the first to start a national practice focused exclusively alternative real estate assets. Over the course of his career, he has advised on thousands of transactions totaling more than $20 billion in value.
He serves on the Editorial Advisory Board of the publication Healthcare Real Estate Insights, is on the ULI Healthcare and Life Sciences council, and is the Chair Emeritus of the Building Owners & Management Association (BOMA) Medical Office & Healthcare Real Estate Conference. In 2013, Healthcare Real Estate Insights selected Chris as their Healthcare Executive of the Year as part of their annual HREI Insights Awards. Chris has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business and Real Estate from the University of Colorado Boulder – Leeds School of Business.
